Dear Faculty and Staff,
As many of you know, Manuel Aroz, associate director of Academic Standards recently retired. Ann Zell, assistant dean for Academic Administration and Student Success has also shared her intent to retire. We have taken the opportunity to review the structure of the academic administration area in ASA and have made some adjustments to our structure in an effort to streamline processes and enhance the support that we provide to the five schools of Fulton Engineering. In this realignment we tweaked responsibilities of existing positions, eliminated two positions and have developed the following new positions:
- Assistant Dean, Brian Skromme
New program and course review. Academic Integrity Policy violations, grade grievance and satisfactory progress in degree programs. Retention programs. - Director, Academic Administration and Student Success

Reports to associate dean. Responsible for the entire operations of academic administration including all academic documents and transactions, undergraduate and graduate advising, student success initiatives including supervision and development of staff, and management of data analysis. Assists in the development of strategic plans that support the achievement of the Fulton Engineering objectives. - Specialist Senior

One of two parallel positions supporting academic advisors in the five schools of Fulton Engineering and reports to the director. Responsible for new student Orientation Programs, DARS processing, admissions requirements, processing academic documents and serves as a liaison and consultant to academic advisors regarding policy, process and procedures and troubleshooting student issues. Supports retention and academic success programs in the dean’s office.
