Bruce Rittmann, Regents’ Professor of environmental engineering in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment

Bruce Rittmann has won the Environmental Engineering Excellence Award from the American Association of Environmental Engineers for developing new technology to remove harmful contaminants from water.

He will be formally presented the award at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on May 4.

Rittmann is a Regent’s Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment and director of the Swette Center for Environmental Biotechnology in ASU’s Biodesign  Center.
