The Avnet Tech Games (ATG) is an annual college technology competition that provides students with an opportunity to apply what they learn in school to real-world scenarios and compete for scholarships.

The Onsite Competition is a one-day event open to Arizona college students and will be held on April 9, 2011 at the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Ariz. The following Arizona Onsite Games have been announced. Check back for frequent updates on new games.

First-place team members will each win a $1,000 scholarship.

Each faculty member submitting a team or teams that participate on game day will receive a $200 honorarium. Faculty members will receive an additional $300 honorarium for each winning team they sponsor.

The Avnet Tech Games offers participating faculty members the opportunity to:

  • integrate real-world experience within the current curriculum
  • showcase the knowledge students have gained in the classroom
  • gain recognition for successful teaching practices
  • win prizes for the school, equipment and software
