All members of the ASU student body, faculty and staff are encouraged to submit a single nomination.
The ASU Parents Association recognizes tenured faculty who best exemplify a passion for teaching and excel in their areas of research or creative activity through the annual Professor of the Year Award. Several nominees will receive special recognition awards of $1,000 and the nominee who becomes Professor of the Year will receive:
- $10,000 cash award
- $10,000 ($5,000 per academic year) to fund an undergraduate assistant
- fellowship in the ASU Distinguished Teaching Academy
- lifelong designation as Parents Association Professor
The ASU Parents Association Professor of the Year will be announced at the Celebration of Teaching and Learning Excellence ceremony on April 12, 2011.
