The Biodesign Institute will host a special series overviewing their core facilities in October and November. Go hear about the many resources available to ASU, visit the facilities and speak with researchers.

Illumina Next-Generation Sequencing Seminar and Geonomics Core Tour

Learn about the Genomics Core, offering both Sanger and Next Generation Sequencing, and the Bioinformatics Core. Illumina experts will present an overview of next-generation sequencing, including recent application and platform updates and basic concepts and key advantages over traditional technologies. You’ll hear talks presenting new discoveries in topics such as cancer, virology, microbiology and CRISPR research. See what NGS can do for your research

Also take the opportunity to go on a tour of the Genomics Core and see their specialized equipment. Attend a seminar in the Biodesign Auditorium and reception in the Biodesign Lower Atrium followed by 10-minute tours.

Come see how the new Imaging Core can help with your research project! The facility houses state-of-the-art research tools to enable the observation of subcellular structures. Tour the cell culture lab and see these super tools in action! A presentation in Biodesign Auditorium will be followed by reception and 10 minute tours.

Get a special sneak preview of Biodesign’s new core facility: the Mass Spectrometry core! Learn about the several new state of the art machines coming early next year and tour the new facility.
